Anjuna Medicine Careers
Anjuna Medicine was born in the rocky coastal desert of Southern California in San Diego county and grew up in the lush forests of the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Nathan Heide and Erin Ward, who founded the company in 2013, traveled internationally around Europe and the South Pacific in search of traditional medicines that inspired healing and enhanced human connectedness. After spending two years in Italy (Nathan) and many voyages on the Pacific Ocean (Erin), they both returned to Oregon to establish Anjuna as the first step in an exciting journey of self exploration and giving with the ultimate goal to improve the suffering and loneliness of the human condition. Their dream was to build a healthcare company for acupuncturists and massage therapists, run by acupuncturists and massage therapists with a vision to make healthcare easy for all, and make acupuncture and massage available to everyone. Their vision continues to inspire patients and providers and has caused Anjuna Medicine to become the preferred clinic for many.
Oregon’s diverse and progressive healing community fuels the growth and development at Anjuna. We’re purposefully located in the stunning southern Willamette Valley city of Eugene—about one hour from the Pacific Ocean and volcanic Cascade Ranges in either direction and close enough to Portland to drive up in the morning, get a dose of city life, and be back before midnight. Plus, there are miles of mountain bike and running trails in the foothills surrounding the community—and easy access to farm-to-table dining, vineyards, breweries, hotsprings, the University of Oregon, and many other forest secrets. Some call Eugene and the South Valley paradise—we tend to agree, and think you will too!
Arguably, Anjuna invented the phrase “We Make Healthcare Easy.” In fact, every thought we have and every action we take in clinic treatment room, and in business, is with this goal in mind: to make healthcare easy. We want to make each treatment the high-light of your week by delighting, comforting, and healing. We are steadfastly focused on delivering the exceptional experience of human connectedness at every opportunity, and we always operate from a transformative context of sustainability and compassion. For the past three years, our team has been dedicated to transforming healthcare wherever possible, and inside and outside the treatment room. Lastly, we believe each staff member can only deliver excellence when they are functioning at their own highest level. That’s why everyone at Anjuna is encouraged to balance their work with plenty of play—whether it is yoga, mountain biking, climbing, hiking, dancing, or anything that moves the body. We work hard, and we play even harder—because getting more out of the time we spend moving and healing our body is what we are all about. And for those days when deadlines have us at our desks for hours on end, we have many yoga studios around Anjuna to help us stay strong, limber and healthy.
